With a career in music for over three decades, DJ Isaac really showcases his talent in crafting hit songs. Take ‘Feel So Good’, a track that has earned recognition as one of the top DJ-supported Hard Dance tracks of 2023, according to 1001tracklists. Now, DJ Isaac teamed up with Creeds, the techno DJ responsible for the hit 'Push Up', to release an official remix of the track.

We all know ‘Push Up’, the track that Creeds went viral with on social media last year. “I sent him a direct message, asking if he could send me the individual stems of the song. I wanted to make a remix of the track,” says DJ Isaac. Creeds was as excited as DJ Isaac was, because Creeds often plays tracks by DJ Isaac during his techno performances. They made a deal: DJ Isaac could make a remix of ‘Push Up’, and Creeds chose to make a remix of ‘Feel So Good.’

The popularity of ‘Feel So Good’ in hardstyle and EDM

When DJ Isaac released ‘Feel So Good’ last summer, he completely went against the current trend. “I tried to keep the track melodic and soft, but with an 'out of the box' break that really makes the track stand out. I knew it had become a good track, but the fact that it was picked up by both the Raw artists and the EDM colleagues such as Hardwell and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike was of course super cool!”

At the moment, no concrete plans about more collaborations between DJ Isaac and Creeds have been made, although DJ Isaac wouldn’t rule it out. “I feel a huge attraction towards the Hard Techno scene as it is closer to my style than the current Hardstyle. In fact, many of my tracks are played in the Hard Techno scene.”

“I think ‘Feel So Good’ is a track with the ultimate rave feeling”

Like we mentioned before, the importance of melody takes center stage in the track 'Feel So Good.' Despite melody not being the primary focus in today's harder styles music, DJ Isaac acknowledges his experience with various shifts like these. “Shifts are necessary for change,” he explains. “If no new guys like D-Block & S-te-Fan or Headhunterz and later Sub Zero Project had emerged at the time, the scene would never have become so big and we would still be listening to the same tracks as 23 years ago, when I started making this music. You just have to keep focusing on yourself, produce what you think is cool and make sure your tracks hit so that people can't ignore you.”

For now, DJ Isaac is focussing on his own 2024-plans. He’s working on a follow-up track to ‘Feel So Good’, called ‘Rise’. A collaboration with Showtek, ‘Spaceman’, is also ready to be released. “This was a really crazy thing to do. We’ve known each other for about 25 years, but apart from remixing each other's tracks, we had never been in the studio together. The collaboration was great and I don't rule out a second one!”

DJ Isaac's latest release, the 'Feel So Good - Creeds Remix', is now available for streaming on Scantraxx. Don't miss out – stream it now on all your favorite platforms.
